The Parade Committee will do its best to accommodate all requests, but it is not guaranteed.
Units who wish to be grouped / march together must indicate this request on each application submitted.
Any motorized unit which becomes disabled while in the formation area or on the parade route will be towed at the owner’s expense.
All floats are required to have a minimum of one (1) 2A10BC or higher rated Fire extinguishers and be available for inspection by 9:00 am on the day of the parade.
All entries are required to be less than 25 feet high, 25 feet wide, and 70 feet in length.
Insurance is required for all floats, vehicles, and equestrian units.
City of Long Beach noise abatement laws forbid any unit to test equipment or play music prior to 8:30 am.
All decorations must be Fire Proof / Fire Retardant.
OnceĪccepted, changes to any unit are prohibited without written approval from the parade committee.
The Parade Committee accepts entries based upon the information submitted with the application.
All entries are encouraged to carry a banner to identify their unit.
Their group, both while on the parade route and in the formation / disbanding areas.
All equestrians, or other groups with animals, are required to provide a cleaning crew to pick up after.
paperwork will be sent out to approved units by June 15, 2022.
No one under the age of eight (8) will be allowed to march in the parade without prior approval.
Acceptance into the parade is at the discretion of the parade committee.
Applications, including script, entry fees, and any required sketches, proof of a valid driver's license, or insurance must be submitted prior to the deadline of to be considered.
If removed, entry fees will not be returned. Units caught breaking these rules are subject to a citation from the Long Beach Police Department, along with being removed from the parade.
At no time is ANYTHING allowed to be thrown, either in the formation area or while on the parade route.City regulations strictly prohibit handing out leaflets, pamphlets, or flyers during the parade.
Stopping at any time to perform is prohibited.
Forward motion and proper spacing must be maintained at all times while on the parade route.
Statements or actions made by any applicant and/or participant in this event.
Long Beach Pride, the City of Long Beach, and Pageantry Parades are not responsible for any false.
All entries must be checked in by 10:00 am to participate.
The parade will start promptly at 10:30 am.
All entries should have a positive theme, which respects diversity, and incorporates this year’s theme: “Many Voices, One Spirit”.
